Meet the Committee
President - Esme King
Hi! I’m Esme, a (soon to be) 5th year at Surrey. I have been treasurer for BSEVA for the last 2 years and am very much looking forward to my role as President. I have very little experience with horses and hope to inspire more people to get involved with BSEVA and consider a career in equine. I am excited for the year ahead working alongside the rest of the committee and hope we can put on lots of interesting talks and make congress the best year yet!

Vice-President - Lauren Blackmar
Hi! I’m Bede, a 3rd year at Harper Keele. Horses have always been a huge part of my life and my love for riding is what led me to study veterinary. I’m especially interested in equine orthopaedics and can’t wait to be part of the BSEVA this year. I’m excited to help plan some amazing talks and events for the year.

Hi! Im Dasha, your Congress Lead for this year. I am so excited about organising a great weekend and hope to see many of you there. I am a 4th year student at Cambridge and love the opportunities BSEVA give to horsey and non horsey students and Im looking forward to highlighting these at the congress this year.

Secretary - Tamara Fifield
Hi I’m Tamara, a 3rd year vet student at Cambridge. I have grown up with horses, eventing and more recently playing polo. I’m particularly interested in sports horse performance, especially in eventing and racing. I am really excited to be on the committee this year and meet lots of like-minded people!

Treasurer - Florence Phillipson-Stow
Hi I’m Florrie a final year student from Nottingham. I’ve been around horses from basically birth and spent probably too much time hunting, eventing and racing. I’m looking forward to being on BSEVA committee this year to help keep providing interesting talks and opportunities for our members.
Social Media - Niamh Nolan
Hi I’m Niamh! I’m a third year at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. I spent my younger years show jumping which is where my passion for equine veterinary work started. This is my first year on BSEVA committee as social media secretary. I’m so excited to connect with fellow aspiring vets through our interest in equine medicine!!

Social Media - Olivia Zukowska
Hi! I'm Jennifer. Hi I am Olivia and I'll be covering social media duties alongside Niamh. I am a forth year veterinary student from the RVC. Although I don’t come from a horsey background, thanks to the amazing RVC SEVA society I have fallen in love with equine medicine, particularly foal medicine. I would love to give back and help others discover a love for equine medicine/ learn more about the field. Hope to see you at our talks and congress.
